Wine Donald Ziraldo - Ontario is Canada's largest cool-climate wine-growing region, and the home of ice wines. Donald Ziraldo is one of the pioneers of the Vidal hybrid grape variety, created from a cross between Ugni blanc (Trebbiano) and Rayon d'or. The grape harvest takes place when temperatures reach -12°C. The grapes are then pressed quickly to extract only a small quantity of highly concentrated juice. This 100% Vidal has a golden amber colour. On the nose, it offers persistent aromas of mango and peach with a touch of barley sugar. Voluptuous on the palate, with sweet, pronounced papaya and nectarine aromas wrapped in biting acidity. The finish is soft and silky with a touch of ginger.
