Brazilian Wine
If you are looking for wine made in South America, you will probably think of Argentina or Chile, but maybe not Brazil. Being so close to the equator, its hot and humid climate is more suitable for tropical forest than vineyards. However, the country has been growing wine since its colonization. The Brazilian wine industry has seen tremendous growth in the last 15 years and today, there are over 1,100 wineries in the country, mainly situated in the south east region, just north of Uruguay.
