The Biscardo family have an incredible reputation in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, making wines that pound-for-pound hit the mark every single time. The Amarone style is an expensive style to make with the air-dried grapes providing intense concentration but very little juice. Cutting corners to this process to hit a price never works and winemaker Paulo only accepts the best grapes possible for this Amarone and the resulting intensity, balance and complexity simply cannot be argued with.
