This complex and delicious example of classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is bright and fresh, but with a persistence of flavors that puts it a cut above the rest. A bouquet of white peach, gooseberry, fresh cut grass, and a touch of pineapple are followed on the palate by clean flavors of passionfruit, lychee, and lime. A slightly steely and herbal finish continues for much longer than expected.
Because this wine has a bit more punch, complexity, and verve than most simple Sauvignon Blanc’s, it has the ability to pair with more interesting food. Try seared scallops, spicy prawns, Thai-style fish cakes, or grilled monkfish curry.

The Convergence Sauvignon Blanc is so-called because it is a beautiful ‘convergence’ of fruit from 5 vineyards in the Awatere, Southern Valleys, and Rapaura sub-regions on the South Island. Fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to preserve fruit characters, this wine also spent 3 months on the lees to add texture and complexity to the palate.
