As you walk up to Monte La Reina, the first thing you see is the castle. Raised above the undulating vineyards, the orange chalky fortress is at the heart of the winery estate. The hot summers and cool winters help the winemaker, José Rogelio Nuño, to develop the best Tempranillo grapes, perfectly ripe and bursting with concentrated flavours. By working his magic, José creates a balanced and elegant wine, packed full of fruity flavours which give way to indulgent notes of vanilla and chocolate. This wine is an excellent example of what the Toro region has to offer and will only get better with age!
