Wow! This rich claret-style red is bursting with flavour. It's made purely from Cabernet Sauvignon, a grape that reigns supreme in the vineyards of the Medoc and makes some of the most expensive wines in the world. The wine is the creation of the excellent Vi?a La Rosa, a winery founded in 1824 and one of the oldest in Chile. Today, the estate is in the hands of the sixth generation and, with 700 hectares of vines, can afford the luxury of using only estate-grown fruit. The grapes for Los Rosales come from a single vineyard within Cornellana, known for its sloping vineyards within a narrow, hidden valley. At the centre of this vineyard lies an old chapel built by Trinidad, the mother of the founder of the winery, hence the name of this wine.
