This superb Etna wine is made from 100% Carricante, and has generous, juicy notes of yellow plums and peaches and mountain herbs, balanced by the lemony acidity and structure conferred by the variety, the high altitude and the soil composed of basalt and black volcanic ash. It comes entirely from the Montelaguardia vineyard, in the hamlet (Contrada) of Taccione, at an elevation of 690-720 metres.
