Alsace produce some of the most food-friendly wines in the world, and are the go-to choice for Asian dishes. This Pinot Blanc delight is great value, and a great introduction to Alsace if you haven’t tried their wines before – and don’t be put off by the Germanic-looking bottle, this is a real gem. A worthy winner of an International Wine Challenge silver medal, it’s soft and gentle, yet with a steely dry edge. With a heady mix of ripe pear, peach blossom and a touch of honey on the nose, it is aromatic, but very dry, with a smooth, gently spiced, yet lemony crisp finish. Look no further for the perfect match for stir-fries, Thai chicken curry, and soft cheeses.
