This is an absolute belter of an easy drinking red wine. Very smooth with hints of vanilla and cherry. The 2021 vintage was excellent and the current 2022 is holding its own against that. Well worth the price and an absolute bargain when bought as part of an introductory offer. Fill your boots.

bought for my daughter by one of her clients, she gave it to me......totally taken aback by the rich, fruity, gutsy wallop on the tastebuds.......no question that it is the richest and densely flavoured reds that I have encountered. would be MASSIVE with sweet ribs dripping in rib sauce, extraordinary with blood-red roast rib of beef...please excuse me for being mildly ..(?) mysogenistic...but a gutsy mans drink..barbeque friendly, get it drunk. Lovely. NOW...where did I leave my glass......

I didn't drink red wine as it usually disagreed with me. However when we visited a neighbour for a dinner party my husband was raving about this red wine (Cabalie) and I had a sip without it having the usual effect. Now I am an addict of Cabalie. Not only me but now my two sons and Daughter in Law are too. It is costing my husband a fortune every time he orders.

Just tried this wine. For the first time this weekend, I usually drink white and this was the chosen red at a silver service catered event, we ate steak so I chose the red, loved it as soon as it touched my tongue, beautifuly smooth, leaves no harsh aftertaste, just warm, full bodied and very moorish hence my search for more. Would recommend this red to anyone, there’s nothing to dislike.

We buy wine from a wine supplier on a regular basis and have not, as yet, found a wine as good as Cabalie at around that price . I would strongly recommend that you give it a try and I predict that most will agree.

This Cabalie red rings my bell . there is no dry aftertaste but rich aromatic flavours and it is beautiful to drink without a meal or as an accompaniment

I was and will always be indebted to my daughter and son-in-law for the gift and introduction to this exquisite red wine. As a an aficionado of quality white wine, I was so pleasantly surprised by this fabulous 'easy to drink; French Red, which had me instantly 'hooked' on its sweet, rich creation. As an Espanophile who has always been a 'standard bearer' for Rioja I must admit to changing my allegiance to Cabalie as my new addiction .

My husband and I received a bottle of this as a gift for Christmas. It isn't very often we dont eventually finish a bottle of wine, but with this, neither of us could finish a glass let alone a bottle. It was very strong to the point it was overpowering. You lost the flavours of the grape and instead I can only say it was like drinking vinegar. It even smelt vinegary leading us to think it had gone off. A friend visited us later in the day who drinks this and said that is what it smells and tastes like and even said it was his favourite wine. My conclusion is that this wine is a required taste but both my husband and I personally thought it was one of the worst wines we had ever drank.
