Bodegas Tarón Rioja Crianza is a supple, modern Rioja from the cool northern reaches of Rioja Alta, offering bright red fruit wrapped in gentle American oak spice. TasteThis Crianza is a blend of predominantly Tempranillo with a touch of Mazuelo from Rioja Alta vineyards, giving both juicy fruit and structure. It shows a bright ruby red colour with intense aromas of fresh red berries, plum and cherry. The wine spends around 12 months in American oak and a further year in bottle, adding subtle notes of vanilla, sweet spice and smoke without overwhelming the fruit. On the palate, ripe cherry and redcurrant meet hints of chocolate, spice and earth, with well-structured yet polished tannins and a long, balanced, red-fruited finish.
