Visionary winemaker Marchese Piero Antinori has made Tignanello one of the super Tuscan wines. This estate has experimented with the Sangiovese variety and the non-native Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc varieties with great success. Tasting Note: The 2006 Tignanello is particularly opulent the nose is brimming with dark red fruit oak and vanilla. The palate is supple with a lovely dense body and a long vibrant finish. Food Pairing: This super-Tuscan is a great match to meaty pasta dishes, or charcuterie.
