Wine Kanakaris Winery - Kanakaris Agiorgitiko selection comes from strictly selected vineyards in the Peloponnese at altitudes of 450 to 600 metres above sea level. Vinification involves a three-day pre-fermentation extraction at 10ºC, followed by a seven-day extraction at progressively higher temperatures. The wine is then matured in oak barrels for a minimum of ten months. The result is a classic red wine with rich aromas of red fruit, fruit compotes, coffee, chocolate, incense and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied and robust, with velvety tannins. It is ideal with all red meats, typical Greek cuisine and pasta dishes of all kinds.
