The passion that Borja Ripa has for his wines is infectious, and he has spent many years honing his craft in Rioja. In fact this wine is made with the same meticulous detail, care and attention as his top Rioja Reservas. That is why you get an awful lot of wine for your money in this bottle. Perfectly ripe Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes are picked and fermented, then the berry-scented wine spends 24 months in oak barrels (Borja decided to use 70% French oak for its delicious toasty flavour and 30% American oak to add a lick of vanilla). Then it spends a further 24 months in bottle developing dried fruit nuances in his cellar before it's ready for release.
