Alentejo in southern Portugal is one of the hottest and most arid wine regions in Europe. This wine comes from the Herdade do Peso estate, which has its own dam which provides much-needed water for vineyard irrigation. This traditionally Portuguese blend offers a floral bouquet, with a backdrop of plum and mulberry fruit. Ripe and warm on the palate, with lingering white pepper and jasmine tea flavours on the finish. Drink with enchidos, chorizo, or any hot and spicy grilled meats.
