Planted in 2000 in southern Oregon's Rogue Valley by growers Terry Sullivan and Molly Morison, Upper Five Vineyard is a small, organically farmed site that has been Demeter certified biodynamic since 2018. Located near Ashland, this 3.5 acre vineyard thrives in a warm climate well suited to Tempranillo, producing wines with depth, structure and a distinctly savoury profile. The winemaker, Vincent Fritzsche, runs one of Oregon's most quietly impressive small operations — limited quantities, uncompromising quality. The aim here is to highlight the grape's natural tannin profile while preserving its natural acidity, resulting in a wine that feels both powerful and precise. Taste
Deep, savoury dark berry fruit leads the profile, with blackberry, plum and black cherry at the core.
