I'm a big fan of Trivento Private Reserve, or Black label as I call it. Very smooth, but full bodied and I always imagine it's what it would taste like if you drank the curtains in Twin Peaks. I don't tend to spend more than about 10 pounds for a bottle of wine so in that price range, this is in my top 5.
