Wine Michele Satta - Michele Satta?s 100% Viognier white wine was born out of a sudden inspiration for the winemaker when he tasted the grapes during one of the first harvests of the variety, which was originally intended for blending. Inspired by its extraordinary aromatic richness, he created GiovinRe whilst remaining true to his approach: to make wines with as strong an identity as possible. Harvested in two stages according to the ripeness of the vines, and vinified in barrels, cement vats and amphorae, the IGT Toscana GiovinRe 2024 opens with mineral, floral and stone fruit aromas, evolving into a round, dense palate with flavours of tropical fruit, citrus and ripe lemon, alongside notes of banana and spice. The silky texture and lively acidity blend harmoniously, prolonged by a chalky touch and a long, fresh finish. A delicious Viognier, best enjoyed with a slightly spicy dish or a seafood platter.
