This single cask Tomintoul was, distilled in 2005 and allowed 16 years of maturation. In 2022, it was drawn from its white moscatel cask and bottled up at 56.9% ABV, producing only 273 bottles. Not every day you see a single malt aged in a white moscatel cask.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of fine cut marmalade, manuka honey, fruit syrup and galia melon cushioned with baking spice and burnt sugar.
Palate: Rich layers of tarte tatin, lemon curd, candied peels and dried tropical fruits mingled with syrup flapjacks and cocoa powder.
Finish: Cosy layers of black coffee and toasted nuts highlighted with tinned apricots and vanilla custard sweetness.
