As the sun rises over the undulating hills of the Swartland region, towards the end of February winemaker Ryno Booysen and his team are out in the vineyard picking grapes to ensure they capture the zingy aromas of the Marsanne grape before the sun hits the vines. Although the Marsanne grape is more commonly grown in the Rhône region in France, Ryno has allowed this grape to really shine through for its quality and suitability to the Cape climate. This is reflected elegantly in this wine with its zesty floral aromas and hints of very sweet fruit. As a result, the Three Gables Swartland Marsanne is the perfect accompaniment to any dinner party or summer BBQ.
