The Sherwood Estate Stratum wines showcase the characteristics of Waipara Valley grapes. This region may not be as famous as its northern neighbour, Marlborough, but is certainly worth discovering for yourself! The growing season in Waipara is one of the longest in New Zealand. This prolonged ripening period lets these Riesling grapes develop rich flavour complexity while retaining their acidity. The result is a delectable white with aromas of lemon sherbet, grapefruit and honey with hints of lychee and white blossom. This is followed by a medium-bodied palate with flavours of lemon meringue and a light sweetness.
