Wine Domaine Zind Humbrecht - This wine comes from plots planted on the Clos Saint Urbain in Thann between 1978 and 1989. The arid climate of 2024 and the slow ripening process led to the selection of more productive vines. The extraordinary pedigree of this volcanic terroir is clearly evident in the magnificent grapes. Fermentation was very slow but nevertheless resulted in a very dry wine that is expressive of its terroir. The result is a wine with aromas of wet stones and smoke, a typical volcanic signature. The texture on the palate is velvety and silky, with a round and very saline acidity. The finish is enhanced by ripe bitter notes that reinforce the wine's persistence.
