Though the season’s rainfall was double its usual amount in 2019, that didn’t stop Ridge Vineyards from releasing its 54th consecutive vintage of Geyserville. Following the winery’s philosophy of minimal intervention, the complex blend of Zinfandel, Carignane, Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet varietals are lovingly handpicked, fermented with native yeasts and naturally occurring bacteria and then imparted with an oaky character from time in aged casks, resulting in ripe cherry, plum and gravel notes.
