Situated in the Loire and made using Chenin Blanc, Vouvray is one of the world's great whites - and with producers and a vintage like this, there's a lot to be excited about. Didier and Catherine Champalou are among the leading lights in the region, and their beautiful estate has, along with the rest of Vouvray, benefited from a magnificent harvest in 2008. The Champalous use an amount of residual sugar in their Vouvray, giving it a beautiful hint of sweetness, but with just the right balance of crisp refreshment too. We think you'll love it. Straw colour. Mouthwatering aromas of pear, apricot, tangerine and honeysuckle that balance in the mouth with a lovely, crisp acidic lift. Absolutely fantastic with Indian and Thai cuisine, and textured enough to go well with oily fish - as versatile as it is delicious!
