This Kentucky straight bourbon is distilled at Buffalo Trace to an exclusive recipe created by the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Matured for 20 years, selected barrels are then carefully chosen for an additional three years' maturation. Aged much longer than most bourbons, and the oldest expression in the Pappy's range, this expression is bottled at a strength of 47.8% abv and only released once per year – as with all the Pappy Van Winkle bourbons – making it a very highly sought-after bottle.
