In 1998, well-known Chilean producer Santa Emiliana hand-picked 250 hectares of its top vineyards from the Casablanca, Maipo and Colchagua Valleys, to pursue an organic farming conversion which today enjoys Demeter certification. Emiliana Orgánico is nothing less than a stunning Biodynamic vineyard, and the winery at Los Robles is considered an inspirational model for visiting wine-growers from around the world. Winemaker Álvaro Espinoza, with his pioneering spirit, has been a driving force behind the introduction of biodynamic and organic principles currently in use on the estate.
