This tiny production rosado (rosé) is from the highly coveted, remote appellation of Bullas in Murcia. Hidden in the clearing of a pine forest high in the mountains, this ancient region is a place the supermarket lorries simply can't get to, but that didn't stop us. The world's most influential wine magazine awarded 93 points to a red from this "previously flying under the radar" enclave, and the 2014 of this rosado scored a fabulous 89 Parker points. Similarly intense, the 2015 is made from spicy Monastrell which has been cultivated here for around 3,000 years. Whole bunches were crushed and the free-run juice cool fermented for a fresh red fruit and toasty mineral character with a lovely balance. A perfect partner for salade niçoise.
