A lovely expression of the terroir of Mercurey, a true highlight of the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy. Jean-Baptise Jessiaume is a 6th generation winemaker from a family with history stretching back over 200 years. He made wines for years with his father Marc, before they sold their estate to take over another in Bouzeron. Jean-Baptise now has his own establishment and is making a sensational portfolio of wines in tiny amounts, and we're thrilled to have snaffled a few cases of this cracker. Crafted from 100% Chardonnay and aged in oak for 15 months, with a small proportion of that being new oak. A wine with vibrancy, floral notes, and excellent concentration on the palate. One for a fishy supper.
