At 129 hectares, Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons is one of the largest and sits on the left bank of the river Serein. The name translates to 'little valley' and the region has a south and east exposure, so enjoys mainly early morning sunshine, and the shallow limestone rich soil allows the grapes to ripen, quite easily, even in the cooler less sunny vintages. We love this area of Chablis, and this is a classic with notes of white fruit, plenty of orchard fruit and a liveliness that is captivating. It is the perfect combination of minerality, fruitiness and elegance.
