Blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot has been practiced in France for centuries and the most famous examples, of course, hail from Bordeaux. That doesn't mean that they must exclusively come from there and this example is crafted from some lovely ripe fruit grown in the Languedoc, an area often referred to as France's vineyard garden. Lively blackcurrant fruit character mixes with juicy plum notes and the finish has a little touch of fresh leafiness and crunchy tannins.
