This wine is a labour of love; the collaborative result of the friendship between Gavin Crisfield and myself. We went to wine school together in 1996 and have shared a taste for good wine ever since. From the outset this wine resisted coming into being - from nightmarish French bureaucracy and an impossible search for a premises, to irksome wild boar (they love grapes) and swarming bees. This wine has kept us busy. It is lavishly fruited and approachable, but deep, rich and swathed in very fine oak.
