We tried this wine for the first time with a beef pasta dish, and we all agreed it is beautiful, full of fruity taste and body.

La Masseria del Borgo is an excellent example of what the Primitivo grape can be made to produce. It is a dark lusciously fruity red with an inviting aroma, good body, soft tannins and a satisfyingly long finish. There is no unpleasant bite at any point, just mouth filling mellow fruit. For me that's as good as it gets, and at this price point it is great value. If you refuse to pay more than rock bottom prices then, fair enough. But you will most probably waste what you do spend on a poor quality wine that you do not enjoy. Pay a bit more and taste a lovely wine that has never so far let me down. It gives you far more than anything else I have bought at this or considerably higher prices.
