Highland Park 17 Year Old 2008 is a richly characterful Orkney single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Murray McDavid for the acclaimed Benchmark series. Distilled in 2008 and matured in bourbon barrels for 17 years before bottling in 2026, this limited release yielded just 564 bottles at a powerful 54.1% ABV.
The bourbon barrel maturation beautifully enhances Highland Park’s signature balance of gentle heathery peat smoke, honeyed malt, orchard fruits, and warming spice. Extended ageing has added impressive depth and refinement while allowing the distillery’s unmistakable Orcadian character to shine through with clarity. Bottled at natural strength without chill-filtration or added colour, this is a bold yet elegant single malt with exceptional texture and complexity.
