The Schlossberg vineyard is named after the ruins of a castle that lies within the Zeltingen vineyards. The vines grow on its slate covered, steep southwest slopes arranged on small terraces meaning that all the grapes have to be carefully hand-picked. This means that winemaker Peter Griebler benefits from beautifully healthy, sun-ripened grapes and chooses only very best ones for this bottle of Riesling. This results in an astounding wine which highlights the terroir and minerality of this site.
