70cl / 43% - The infamous Hakushu 25 is an exemplary Japanese single malt, recognised by whisky enthusiasts the world over. This is a graceful balancing act between its many types of new- make – some of which is peated – and its restrained use of sherry-seasoned oak. In the glass we find, toffee apple, rhubarb soda, walnut oil and peat smoke.
