A dark, silky red from the sunny slopes of Spain's Valencia. Although not native to the country, Cabernet Sauvignon loves the warm climate and produces delicious juicy ripe flavour with a twist of spice. The de Lluna vineyards, set at 600 metres above sea level, lie 30 miles from Valencia (where city folk from Madrid flock to in summer for relaxation). John Radford writes: "Spanish wine is more vibrant, happening and fascinating than it has ever been" (The New Spain) - an opinion beautifully illustrated by this almost New World style Cabernet. Crafted by Maria Angeles Camara (the star winemaker behind our popular Palacio del Conde wines), it's an ideal match with grilled or roasted red meats and hearty casseroles, and perfect at a barbecue..
