Tasting note Austere, structured and densely packed, the 2006 Gaia is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Cabernet Franc and Merlot. It’s a wine which speaks of the rugged, windswept vineyards from which it is produced. Powerful, opulent and concentrated, with lovely red fruit and blackcurrant flavours, alongside an earthy minerality, that coils tightly around fine-knit tannins and a core of acidity. Complex and elegant, patience will reveal the Gaia’s true characters. Food pairing note This full bodied red makes a great match for venison or beef.
