At high altitude in the Matelica valley, on the mineral-rich site of an ancient salt-lake, the Cifola family have grown Verdicchio for 50 years. The valley's cold nights and hot days deliver a wine with a rare balance of acidity and richness, without recourse to oak. The palate has notes of orchard fruit and almond, that builds to an intense, racy finish.
