Philippe has half a hectare of 64 year old vines in Perrières and they produce his finest Puligny 1er Cru. The vineyard is surrounded by Referts to the north, Combettes above and the monopole Clos de la Mouchère to the south. The soil is fairly stony here and lends the wine a nice stony, flinty character. It feels compact, like the berries were small and concentrated, yet it has drive and expansion which lift the flavours perfectly. 13% ABV
