Glenelly was purchased in 2003 by May de Mencquesaing - the estate's top cuv e 'Lady May' is named in her honour - winemaker and former owner of famous Bordeaux Ch teau, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in Pauillac. And the quality of the wines produced at the estate has surged under her stewardship.This Cab Franc is a very forward style - dark plums and blueberries, with hints of herbs and cedar from the 12 months spent in French oak. Lovely intensity of flavour, with fine tannins and a smooth, generous finish. Outstanding value.
