Back in 2007, prized butts of aged Manzanilla were selected from the solera of Rainera P. Marín and refreshed with unfortified manzanilla pasada in order to create an Amontillado solera of 100 butts. In 2012, a dozen of these butts were picked and bottled as La Bota No.37 Amontillado and the rest was put back into casks for further aging. Every year Equipo Navazos release new expressions of this sherry which combines the freshness of a Manzanilla, with the more complex notes of Amontillado. La Bota No.95 has notes of aromatic herbs, baked sweet potato and caramel, making it a delicious Amontillado that is extremely dry, long, serious and complex, but also perfectly drinkable.
