Brother and sister team Pierre and Marie Giraud are making big and characterful wines, where the accent is on bold fruit flavours and full ripeness. This is an extraordinary cuvée of Grenache, named after their father Pierre. It comes from very old vines grown on sand at La Crau and Pignam, near to Rayas and next to Clos des Cailloux. These vines produce very low yields with concentrated flavours, which result in a truly sensational wine. It has volume and power, yet it still has elegance and finesse. It will be right at home next to confit of lamb or strong cheeses.
