Creation Chardonnay Tasting Notes by Wine Expert, David Andrews, DipWSET
This is good old South African winemaking. A balance of oak flavours meet more restrained French styles of winemaking. Expect butterscotch, peach and pear with restrained mineral notes. The palate has great depth and length with a rich texture exuding vanilla, hazelnut, apple skins (adding some bitterness), almonds, peach and pastry. A spiced streak running through helps carve some balance in the otherwise rich texture.
The finish is lightly creamy, with the apple skin and vanilla lingering longest whilst the acidity leaves your mouth watering for more.
