Wine Clos de la Molenie - Sylvain and Kim Destrieux are the owners at Clos De La Molénie, an estate that follows biodynamic wine-growing in Ruch, in the south of Dordogne. The vines are 35 years old and grow in a clay-limestone soil. Le Clos de la Molénie Blanc is fermented at low temperature in stainless steel vats, and matured in stoneware eggs and acacia barrels. The wine is straw yellow in color, the nose reveals notes of white flowers (honeysuckle) and fruit, namely white peach and almost ripe mango. On the palate it gives a feeling of full body, roundness, and weight with light notes of citrus (grapefruit) as well as a subtle minerality that gives structure to the wine. A sublime wine with a good level of purity, which pairs beautifully with a nice piece of goat?s cheese!
