Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2011 Hilltops Shiraz is a little reduced/rubbery to begin, giving way to black cherry and black plum notes over hints of tar, scorched earth and damp loam. Light to medium-bodied, it gives just enough black berry and earth flavor concentration in the mouth with a low to medium level of soft tannins and a medium to long finish.
