This wine is a well-balanced blend of two complementary grape varieties. Merlot brings an aromatic finesse and velvety mouthfeel, whilst Cabernet Sauvignon offers a fine tannic structure. Some Clarets can be a little austere in youth, but Chateau Bonsperance strikes the perfect balance with its inviting nose of mixed red cherry and plum fruits with a hint of clove spice. In the mouth it has a frank attack of lively fruit punctuated by woody spice. It'll make a great addition to any dinner table with grilled red or white meats.
