You won't find Sangiovese finer than this. This single vineyard Brunello di Montalcino was crafted by the multi talented Giacomo Neri. Unlike many lesser Sangioveses, the tannins are perfectly rounded and supple thanks to Giacomo's perfectly timed harvest. Captivating and complex, it's a wine that lends itself to a lengthy evolution in the cellar, but is also approachable in its youth. As Wine Advocate notes in their 95 point review, this is "a wine of enormous pedigree and importance. It is generous and confident with a presentation that offers purity, intensity and persistence." This will reward patient cellaring, but if you're opening it soon, decant two or three hours before serving with red meats, venison, game or seasoned cheeses.
