La Vermontoise (ABV 6.0%) is a collaborative creation between Brasserie de Blaugies and Vermont's Hill Farmstead Brewery. Based on Blaugies' Saison d'Epeautre, it incorporates spelt and barley malts in the mash and is brewed with Amarillo hops. The beer pours a hazy gold with a substantial, cloudlike white head. Aromas are grassy, peppery, and honeyed, with a hint of citrus from the hops. The flavor is toasty, dry, and refreshing, complemented by lively carbonation. Hop character presents as orange and pine notes rather than pronounced bitterness.
