So we set out to produce an Amarone style from our own Black Flag production in McLaren Vale in Oz. The key production means is drying out the grapes so that everything becomes more concentrated and lavish. Using Shiraz, Touriga and Durif this wine has beef and balance and is a taste and texture sensation. Rich, dark and brooding with aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, plum and liquorice spice, the palate is velvety, well-structured and lush.
