Intuitively, I felt the taste was worth a bit more and this was confirmed when, at friend and finished a bottle of 'Chateau Costalot' and upon comparing with Barefoot Merlot, the 'CC' didn't come close at twice the price.

Stopped drinking wine a while ago as it never agreed with me, then ended up having some of this. It's the nicest red wine I've ever tasted - to me, this is what you imagine red wine should taste like. It's fruity but still rich, hint of blackberry and blackcurrant. Delicious

I had a mixed case of 12 red wines recently to see if there was anything else I really liked, but there wasn't (at least not in that selection), so I'm just happy to carry on buying Barefoot Merlot which I love. Only trouble is, it goes down to easily!
