Araldica was created in the 1990s by the Antica Contea di Castelvero co-operative as an outlet for their highest quality wines. Their headquarters are based in the Monferrato hills, which is also the home of their old cellars and their newly built winery. Even though Araldica is owned by the largest co-operative in Piemonte, it still retains a small family-run feel. This is partly thanks to their Head Winemaker, Claudio Manera, whose father was the co-op’s first ever winemaker and whose wife, Lella, is also an experienced winemaker overseeing all quality control at this hillside estate. Tasting Note: Initial notes of ripe nectarine lead to juicy apple aromas, mingled with a fresh minerality. Well balanced, with a hint of residual sugar that generates roundness and weight. A hint of spice and a fresh finish complete this spectacular Gavi. Food Pairing: Poultry, White Fish
